Advancing years is the reason why FOI member Ron Wickware is willing to
part with his turnkey-ready '41 Clipper. Originally converted in the early '50's, this bus is said to have belonged to the Country Singer George Jones - and that it was he who scripted his name on the sides. Of course it has his characteristic 4-5 case beer cooler built into the Galley. (It works too!) It has a Twitty City plate in place of the license plate on the front bumper |

Here's Ron's description of the bus in his own words:
Ser # 6107326 (serial # was reasigned when it was converted) 8.25x20 tires, Windshields clear but starting to show fog at edges, all side glasses good except for cracked "pass" door, ext paint so-so, but roof is prepped for Kool-Koat, Stainless exceptionally good for age, lower body has rust with some panels replaced and some patched, no rusted holes. Some metal replacement could be done in the body skirt area below the "frame" members, although the bus itself is structurally sound. Front and rear spring mounts have only surface rust and are sound. Strong running 400 Chev coupled to a rebuilt TH350 auto trans. Has fridge, stove, sink, toilet with lav, dinette, one bed, two bunks, holding tank, fresh water tank. Needs new drain valve on holding tank and fresh water pump. The motor and trans are mounted on a sub-frame which slides in and out on rails bolted to the same holes that held the original motor assy.
Ron is asking a very reasonable $5000 for this drive-it-away Clipper.
