![]() Here is an ideal Running Shell, mechanically sound and ready for interior building to your personal specs. Presently roughed in for camping in (such as on the way home - pick it up in Middleton, camp on your way home! ), but basically ready for a complete interior refit. |
She features: a Detroit Diesel 471 Engine, and an Allison 4 Speed Automatic Transmission. She also has: new tires, a new rear differential, new air lines, new fuel lines, a rebuilt alternator, an engine block heater, and a 30 gallon horizontal propane tank. The brakes were all redone in 2004. The interior has the basics, (bed, benches, oven/range)and can be finished to suit.
She's ready to take you on an adventure! We're about finished with the road stage of our lives, and are hoping to find someone who will get as much enjoyment from our bus as we have!
We're asking $10,000.00US, OBO
We will accept payment via PayPal
We drove her to where she is parked now, and she has been parked there for a little over two years. She was running - we drove her to Alaska and back, and she has been all the way to Florida and back to Wisconsin, and back and forth between Wisconsin & Idaho several times.
I'm not sure what I have told you, or what was in my original ad anymore.
Since we have owned the bus, we have put in a new rear differential, new tires all the way around, rebuilt the alternator (yes, it is an alternator, not a generator). She has a 4 speed automatic Allison transmission with a new transmission oil pan. (Don't ask how that happened, just know that it was fixed, and the tranny oil has been recently changed!)
We did a lot of work on the electrical systems (Missy's dad is an electrician) and there are seperate batteries for starting and for the "house."
I'm pretty sure I indicated that the interior was in rough shape, but the pictures show how rough. We gutted the entire thing, and started over (there is no panelling-all bulkheads are removeable-we weren't done insulating, and had to hit the road) We never had the time or money to properly finish the inside. So it can be finished however the new owner chooses.
Starts and runs fine.
We've dumped a lot of money into it, and we just wanted to recoup. If anybody is interested, we're open to offers. It really doesn't seem that bad compared to some we've seen, and we've kept it on the road for over 5 years. "
Owner's Comments
Here are some recent owner's comments:
"Here is the assessment form filled out the best I could. I don't know all the information about the tires, but I do know we had them all replaced within the last 5 years. The front driver's side wheel rim was replaced with a new one in a different size than the rest. I think it is bigger than the others, but a standard size. The rest are the original split rims she came with.
